Who are we?

Colette Coquette (Principal Member, General Director & Associate Producer), was born the daughter of a famous erratic stage actress. Tired of her lavish Parisian life, she sought a home in its sister city, Chicago, where no one knows French actors’ names. A French woman who shaves, she is dedicated to blending the worlds of Opera and Burlesque. She may seem demure, but this femme fatale is as full of effronterie as her boudoir is erupting with lingerie. But then again, who’s complaining?

Nick Helden (Principal Member, Artistic Director & Associate Producer) lived a sheltered existence of chess matches and rural pond hockey exhibitions in his Canadian youth. After completing several post-graduate physics degrees and developing a few modest patents, he was assaulted by a desire to learn the organ. And boy, can he play his organ. Don’t let his dorky exterior fool you, the man knows how to take his lab coat off… and some other things.

Lee O. Narcissus (Principal Member) is very experienced with performing his act in front of his reflection (which has been the best audience he could’ve imagined) He hopes that the women and/or men of his audience will be as enraptured with his boylesque moves and chiseled features as that previous audience has been. Lee O. hopes to one day live a quiet existence with his first and most important fan…himself.

Scotchley Bourbontyne (Principal Member, Artwork Producer and Editor) don’t drink no sarsaparilla. With a voice like Black Velvet and a soul like the perfect Manhattan, this lost cowboy rambles on through the world, looking for a stiff drink and a soft smile. He can often be found serenading buxom belles at the rodeo, prospectin’ on the frontier of the Chicago burlesque scene, or roundin’ up some right purdy sketches. Saddle up, but don’t try to fence him in.

Edun Luv (Principal Member) fantasizes about happiness and adventure in her garden of truth and amorousness. You can always count on her to take a tantalizing bite out of life. After performing out East she has come to Chicago to find a home in the creative underbelly of this chilly city.  Be prepared to be taken to a utopian paradise as her voice transports you away.

Rocky Sazerac (Principal Member) hails from New Orleans, home of decadence and connoisseurs. A notorious drinker, Rocky was most often witnessed haunting dark dives with a whiskey cocktail in one hand and a soon-to-be disgraced bombshell on the other. His estate was a marvel to all in the Big Easy, maintained meticulously by his handsome live-in gardener, Bruce. After losing his fortunes in scandal, Rocky fled to the gin-soaked shores of Chicago. He’s currently looking for a new gardener.

Red Hot Annie (Principal Stage Director/Choreographer) was voted # 34 in the Burlesque Top 50 for 2010. With over a decade of performance experience, Red Hot Annie turned her attention to burlesque in 2008. Four years and over 360 performances later, Annie has become one of the most recognizable, sought-after performers and teachers in Chicago.
