Lingerie Lyrique is focused on combining two very powerful art forms: Burlesque and Opera. This combination allows burlesque to stretch the imagination of audiences and their concept for what opera can be. We create new audiences for opera by filling a gap left open by the industry. Opera scenes are re-imagined as sultry, sexy and saucy burlesque. We desire to find an intimate outlet for opera that raises expectations for both the audience and the performers while focusing on telling a clear story with music.
The desire of making opera accessible and keeping it from becoming antiquated is what drives the passion behind this project.
